Amongst a list of things to be
I choose who I freely become
And with whom I share my joy
This might poorly feed your ears
And send dust into your cup of coffee
But if I must truly live in my own body
And dance to the sound of my own music
Why not harvest the seeds to my freedom,
Why do you think I should deprive me of me?
To make me unhappy to happy your fantasy?
I am a sweet jolly boy, call me a sunflower
I will not crumble my bones at your footstep
Or have your doubts slap my life in the face
I will dance like a bird and spread laughter
And plant sunflower seeds on every garden
And if it’s me that truly lives in my own mind
Why uninvitedly usher yourself to me?
Must I remind you that I have doors?
