Every piece of me holds onto you

Buttoned selflessly on the memories of you

My edges of sorrow and shades of laughter

Hanging on the walls of your ironed face

I love to keep you within my embrace

To bandage all of my heart’s wounds

But I have seen, in the fallings of the day

A piece of silence resting on every lip

Playing hide and seek within silences

I have poured love on all my jealousy ?

Painted my truth on the toes of the rainbow

To be heard, I must speak my heart I know

And step on no man’s feet

Now thoughts bream in the waiting rooms

With so much thirst and lonesomeness

Breathing all the oxygen around

And I have said so much

Yet so much remains.
