I have seen stars bigger than the sun

Before the universe washed hands upon us

Abreast us with rain and ourselves

Asked the sun to towel our backs

This was before the sinking arises

When tomorrow comes without me

Remember me as the deep sea

That finds serenity in silence

Lay my heart on the ground like a carpet

Drown my emptiness like paracetamol

And come out harvesting the seeds of my laughter

Remember, there are stars bigger than the sun

As you wake up to drink your morning tea

That the universe took forever to sculpt you,

You must not settle for someone’s remains

You must manifest yourself in the lights

When tomorrow comes without me

Remember, I am the sea and no one owns me.
