I am, harvesting the sky

Gifting it to my heart to keep

Come tomorrow by sunrise, I must

Complete cocooning, in equilibrium

Ask and you shall see into my ephemeral curls

Each piece, a gateway to something heavenly

Rearranging thoughts

Getting to know self

Must I follow the footprints of joy

Back into the lungs of yesterday

And learn what it means to be sky

I’ll close my eyes

There’ll be so much to feel again

I am only here, dressed by time

Sitting within every piece of self

Trying to separate the meat from the bones

Some days I wilt

Some days I burn

Some days I laugh

Some days I bloom

Some days I lean on the ones I love

Other days I sink heavily into myself

Only to find a home, waiting for me
