I lend you my voice

My innocence

My childhood

My forgiveness

My humanness

I lend you me, all of me

To my ‘ones

Still here, breastfeeding on life

The sun will shine on our hearts

We are going to share so much

Every worry

Every tear

Every smile

Every absence and transformation

Every time we’ve fallen off our wagons

Because we have forgotten to remember

We will listen to ourselves

Through the remains of the dead

From the waves in their oceans

To the powers in our breathing

We will cement our now again

As it is, the calm after the storm

For the space of going further

Cocooning, finding true self

And coming newly again.
