Crickets will whisper into the dawn

Asking if you can ever grow without the sunlight

Sssh! do not let your lost tongue do the thinking

Ahem! they’ll lisp, swallow every seed of light

To birth yourself on a newer prairie sky

You are like a bird with no boundary

Opened wounds will chase you

Promising to breathe you to the end

So as to feast on what remains of your void

Your voice will grow wings

Your silence will grow feet

You must wait and listen ….

To exist again, you must forgive

Lean your mind on the stars at midnight

Call it salvation, remember this with your eyes

And you know this, don’t you?

Unfinished poems will haunt you forever.
